Job Summary
Welder needed to join The Baker Company manufacturing team building biological safety cabinets and related containment equipment. Responsibilities include welding or tack welding metal parts, filling cavities and correcting malformations, inspecting welds for defects, following lean principles to identify waste, and maintaining equipment safety. Must read mechanical drawings, interpret BOMs, and pass a flat TIG welding test. Role requires physical ability to lift 10-20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs, stand for up to 8 hours, and work 1st shift (Mon-Fri). Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- TIG welding experience (must pass flat TIG welding test)
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and read job specifications
- Understand BOM (Bill of Materials) and identify material types and gauges
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
