Welder Team Lead - 2nd shift

Job Summary
Coordinate and support the daily work of the 2nd shift welding team, monitoring processes and performance while acting as a link between the team, support functions, and technical management. Drive meetings including shift handovers and cell meetings, and conduct daily work as a team member while making and following up detailed plans for the cell. Close competence gaps through training and coaching, run SOP audit dialogues, and control quality, deviations, and line stops with technical management. Focus on waste elimination and improvements, providing immediate problem-solving support when needed. Prioritize safety by adhering to company policies and addressing unsafe behaviors. Requires 5+ years of welding experience, proficiency in MIG welding and oxyacetylene torch use, and ability to read blueprints. Located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience from Alfa Laval production/manufacturing/distribution
- Training skills
- Office computer skills
- Good knowledge of SOPs and processes within the team
- Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints
- Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), if PAPR is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience using multiple welding and cutting processes
- Manufacturing experience
- Proficient in MIG welding and oxyacetylene torch use
- Experienced with hand tools, drill/saw machinery, and overhead crane operation
- Able to coordinate
- Have leadership ability

- Regularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally
- 30 lbs of force frequently
- Stand or walk for 80% of the workday
- Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs
- Exposure to various weather conditions cold or hot, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise levels
- No climate-controlled environment
- Work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals
- Encounter atmospheric conditions: fumes, dust, gases, odors, and poor ventilation
- Operate in confined spaces such as narrow aisles or passageway
- Communicate effectively through speech and hearing
- Reside in the US or have an established presence in the area
