Job Summary
Weld carbon steel plate under prescribed conditions, grind and clean areas as required, and operate grinders, stick, or MIG welders alongside other tools. Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols while maintaining knowledge of all departmental welding aspects. Complete all tasks within the standard time allowed and strictly follow safety requirements. Maintain prompt, dependable, and reliable attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Welding of carbon steel plate under prescribed conditions
- Grind and clean area where required
- Work with grinders, stick or MIG welders and other tools as required
- Read and understand blueprints and welding symbols
- Have knowledge of all aspects welding in the department
- Must be able to complete all tasks in said department by the standard time allowed
- Follow all safety requirements
- Prompt, dependable and reliable in work attendance
