Job Summary
The Welder will repair and perform preventative maintenance on trailers and containers, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with DOT guidelines. Responsibilities include inspecting and troubleshooting trailer bodies, completing repairs through cutting, fabricating, and welding as per guidelines, and maintaining records of all work. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of preferred experience in trailer service/repair and at least three years in welding processes. Advanced knowledge of welding tools and techniques is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year previous welding experience in DOT trailer service/repair preferred
- 3+ years experience in welding processes such as MIG, stick, and torch welding on a variety of metals
- Advanced knowledge of welding fabrication tools and techniques
- Ability to safely work at heights, in tight quarters, and varying positions
- Willingness to complete and pass a drug screen, physical and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred
