Job Summary
Setup weldments per blueprint specifications using Mig, Tig, Arc, and Stud welding techniques on entry-level components ranging from similar to dissimilar metals. Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and weld quality by interpreting work orders, bills of material, and safety rules while cleaning welds to check for imperfections. Maintain general inspection requirements and machine setup for proper penetration, with routine duties performed with minimal supervision. Requires one-year certificate or three to six months of related experience. Fully onsite role at Regal Rexnord office.
Required Qualifications
- One-year certificate from college or technical school
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic personal computer skills

- Properly setup welding machines to obtain proper welding penetration
- Clean welds to check for imperfections
- Ensure proper finish squareness

- Setup weldments per blueprint specifications
- Perform setup on all entry level welding components that range from similar to dissimilar metals and alloys
- Perform setup on all entry level welding components involving a considerable number of parts and/or smaller more complicated weldments
- Conform to strict quality standards
- Accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, correct corresponding machine order and general inspection requirements
