Job Summary
Welder at Oshkosh AeroTech responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing to manufacture equipment per customer drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include layout determination, MIG/TIG/Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield), applying procedures and tools, executing welds in multiple positions including underneath and side assembly, assisting in welding components and setup of work centers, troubleshooting design discrepancies, completing weld documentation, and moving weldments between processes while adhering to safety and Hazardous Waste Management requirements. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) or more years weld experience with at least one (1) years of experience in a similar environment
- Appropriate welding certifications, capable of meeting AWS D1.1 requirements
- Crane and jib certification
- Moving vehicle certifications
- Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
