Job Summary
Perform welding operations using flux core and arc welding, reading blueprints and schematics to guide fabrication. Inspect and test welded joints against quality standards while maintaining and repairing welding equipment. Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used throughout the shift. This role is part of the 1st Shift (7am-530pm) Monday to Thursday schedule at the Hitchcock, Texas site. Candidates must hold structural steel flux core qualifications with AWS D1.1 and CWB certifications. Required Qualifications
- Structural steel flux core with the standards of AWS D1.1 and CWB qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in the area
- Certified welder in both GMAW and FCAW
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling
- Willingness to work in different environments, including outdoor and confined spaces
- 1st Shift (7am-530pm) from Monday to Thursday
