Job Summary
Conduct fit-ups and weld components in accordance with weld procedures, accounting for weld shrinkage with minimal supervision. Interpret shop drawings, tolerances, and welding procedures while producing quality fabricated parts that meet customer requirements and schedules. Perform work on a night shift consisting of four 10-hour shifts from 7:45 pm to 6:15 am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as required. All fit-ups and welds undergo inspection by in-house and/or customer certified welding inspectors. On-site training is available for skill growth. Candidates must be eligible under ITAR export control laws.
Required Qualifications
- ability to read and understand shop drawings
- ability to fit and weld components in accordance with weld procedures accounting for weld shrinkage with minimal supervision
- ability to read and understand drawings, tolerances, and welding procedures
- eligibility to access export-controlled information under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- qualification as a U.S. person under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or certain individuals granted refugee/asylum status)
- ability to stand
- ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- ability to reach with hands and arms
- ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- close vision
- depth perception
- ability to work night shift (four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:45 pm -6:15 am)
- ability to work overtime as required
Desired Qualifications
- ASME pressure vessel / tank manufacturing experience
- familiarity with nozzle schedules
- familiarity with weld maps
- flux core experience
- submerged arc experience
- certified positions for welding processes
