Job Summary
Weld aluminum materials into structural shapes and assemble fire truck body components using Mig welding and plasma torch techniques. Read blueprints to ensure dimensional and quality requirements are met while producing visually aesthetic products. Maintain strict standards for safety, durability, and performance on life-critical apparatus. This full-time, on-site role in Boise, Idaho requires physical stamina for climbing ladders and working independently. Candidates must possess Mig welding experience on aluminum, blueprint reading skills, and a strong work ethic. Required Qualifications
- Mig welding experience on aluminum
- Be able to read blueprints of fire truck designs or parts
- Physically fit – ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders
- Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure
- Ability to use plasma torch
- Experience with hand and power tools
