Job Summary
Execute TIG welding operations to fabricate and assemble stainless-steel components for Scepter Crossflow Filtration products. Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to align and weld metal tools, wires, and fixtures. Perform in-process and final inspections using measuring instruments to verify compliance with customer specifications and ISO 9001:2015 standards. Document production activities, track raw material usage, and communicate quality concerns regarding nonconforming materials. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Work overtime as needed, including extended shifts and weekends, to meet production demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Welding certification or a minimum of two (2) years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments, including calipers, tape measures, and other inspection tools
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including fractions, decimals, and measurements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including extended shifts, weekdays, weekends, and scheduled or unscheduled production demands
