Job Summary
Weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or specified alloys per job qualifications and applicable welding procedure specifications (WPS). Operate welding equipment safely, inspect welds and work pieces to required standards, and read drawings and weld symbols. Perform clamping, tack-welding, bracing, grinding, or bolting to achieve proper configurations. Maintain safe operations by following procedures and regulations. Lift or move materials with overhead cranes/hi-lo, and maintain shift continuity through proper documentation and clear communication of actions and any irregularities. Possible additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
