Job Summary
JGM is hiring an experienced Welder for heavy industrial steel fabrication. Candidates must have two years of experience, proficiency in FCAW, and the ability to pass AWS D1.1 3G weld test. High commitment to safety and detail is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of welding experience in a heavy industrial setting
- Proficiency in FCAW
- Ability to pass the AWS D1.1 3G weld test using FCAW
- Experience in an AISC-certified shop environment
- Strong ability to interpret shop drawings and specifications independently
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in multiple welding processes (FCAW, GMAW, SAW, GTAW)
- Technical or trade school certifications
Additional Requirements
- Ability to wear respiratory protection and pass pulmonary function tests
