Job Summary
Tack weld parts in preparation for final welding using Class A TIG techniques on stainless steel and aluminum. Interpret assembly blueprints, drawings, and schematics to weld, assemble, test, and check quality parts under supervision. Check and test products with precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications, perform analysis and repairs on units needing rework, and drill or pin parts per assembly routers. Meet daily production standards while actively participating in safety and continuous improvement processes to reduce setups and enhance efficiency. Work overtime during the week and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in TIG welding, stainless steel and aluminum
- Ability to read, speak and write in English
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
- Ability to read simple gages/meters
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of basic shop math
- Ability to work overtime during the week and weekends
- Ability to perform standard shop computations (applying geometry and trigonometry) relating to angular and linear dimensions of work, tooling
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to interpret blueprints, blueprint symbols, drawings, and sketches
