Job Summary
Prepare, arrange, fit, and assemble materials including stainless, nickel alloy, and Hast-X components using TIG welding processes. Interpret drawings and blueprints to execute production while assessing and adjusting weld parameters. Perform precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, and CMMs, then complete necessary paperwork and computer entries for work orders. Collaborate in a lean manufacturing team focused on safety, quality, and efficiency, utilizing work instructions and fixtures to set up parts correctly. Work the second shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM, M-F) with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited welding program OR 2-5 years of industrial welding experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to perform shop math
- Ability to use precision measurement equipment
- Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding
- Ability to pass the weld test
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM, M-F)
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to work occasional weekend shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
