Job Summary
The Welder III position requires advanced skills in MIG and TIG welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with a focus on achieving x-ray quality welds. Responsibilities include reading fabrication prints and determining weld requirements, operating welding and fabrication equipment, and maintaining traceability of materials. Candidates must possess 3-5 years of welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and be capable of obtaining necessary certifications shortly after employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 - 5 years welding experience
- Must be able to obtain in-house structural welding certification
- Must obtain certifications (GMAW and GTAW) within 30 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Certified in ASME IX
- Proficient in understanding and reading blueprints and WPS’s
- Familiar with ASME IX and AWS D1.1 welding codes
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to obtain in-house structural welding certification
- Must be certified or able to certify to ASME IX
