Job Summary
WELDER II position performing TIG (GTAW) welding on aerospace components, including castings and sheet metal. Responsibilities include setting up and operating TIG welding equipment, performing weld repairs and cosmetic build-up, following weld schedules and drawings, inspecting using calipers and micrometers, maintaining weld certifications, documenting process records, and working both independently and with a team to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years TIG (GTAW) welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to welding and fabrication
