Job Summary
Operate MIG and occasional TIG welding equipment to create strong, high-quality components for custom paint booths and finishing systems. Read and interpret blueprints with precision to assemble structural parts, then confidently stitch sheet metal and weld water-tight tanks that meet exacting standards. Position weld-ons and beam pads accurately while using shop tools such as grinders, drills, shears, and plasma cutters to bring designs to life. Perform quality checks on all work to ensure craftsmanship and deliver projects that fit right the first time. This role supports businesses across North America in automotive, aerospace, and industrial markets, offering autonomy within a collaborative, high-performing team.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- AWS D1.1 welding certificate
- High school diploma or GED
- experience with MIG welding
- occasional TIG welding
- ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures with precision (down to 1/32")
- ability to assemble structural parts that fit right the first time
- ability to stitch sheet metal and weld water-tight tanks that meet exacting standards
- ability to position weld-ons and beam pads accurately
- ability to use a variety of shop tools—including grinders, drills, shears, and plasma cutters
- ability to perform quality checks
