Job Summary
Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding, including machine setup, welding aluminum and stainless steel as required, and inspect welds for quality. Set up welding equipment, grind and clean weld areas, and maintain equipment. Read blueprints/engineering drawings and apply shop math to layout and fabricate parts and assemblies. Stay current with TPM practices, follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures, and contribute to a collaborative manufacturing environment. Must pass drug and background screening. Physical demands include bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 40 lbs; role is in a production/assembly environment. Required Qualifications
- Must read blueprints and engineering drawings and perform shop math to layout, fabricate, and weld various parts and assemblies
- Must have knowledge/experience in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding
- Ability to read a tape measure for precise measurements
- Successful completion of drug and background screening
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing ladders; ability to lift up to 40 lbs; work in non-temperature-controlled environments
