Job Summary
Perform all GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding procedures, including machine setup and maintenance for vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Weld aluminum components, inspect joints for defects, and grind or clean areas as required. Maintain equipment through Total Productive Maintenance protocols and adhere to hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures. Read blueprints and engineering drawings to layout and fabricate parts. Requires 1-year manufacturing experience, ability to read tape measures and perform shop math, and successful completion of drug and background screening.
Required Qualifications
- Must read blueprints, and engineering drawings and perform shop math to layout, fabricate and weld various parts and assemblies
- Must process knowledge and experience in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding
- Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area
- Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
- Successful completion of the drug and background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred high school diploma or GED
