Job Summary
Join our team as a Welder I, where you will join, fabricate, and repair metal by using appropriate welding techniques. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, inspect completed welds for structural soundness, and promote safety and production. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2-4 years of related experience, and the ability to read shop drawings. You must be able to operate an overhead crane, work with welding machines and hand tools, and possess a positive attitude. This safety-sensitive position may involve working in various physical conditions and requires adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent required
- 2 - 4 years related experience
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Ability to pass 2G mig root with flux fill and cap
- Ability to lift
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to operate overhead-crane
- Familiarity with welding machines and hand tools
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Ability to work different shifts
- Ability and willingness to learn to operate basic cutting equipment
- Possesses positive attitude
