Job Summary
Perform tack welding and finish welding of piping systems utilizing SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding procedures under CCC certified procedures. Inspect own work to ensure compliance with drawings and weld procedures and perform necessary repairs. Operate Fork trucks, jib cranes and overhead crane after training. Comply with company policies and safety procedures; assist in other areas of the plant as assigned. Emphasis on maintaining a clean and safe shop, adherence to CCC procedures, and hands-on welding of vessels and structural components.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
- 2-3 years welding experience is required
- ASME code welding is preferred
