Job Summary

As a Welder I on 2nd Shift, you will fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures using various welding techniques. Responsibilities include setting up parts, interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, welding, cutting, grinding, finishing surfaces, and ensuring quality and safety standards. You will monitor processes, perform prep work, conduct quality control, and handle related duties such as machine operation. The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision on 2nd shift.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6months+ of hands on experience in welding and fabrication applications: cutting, welding/brazing, drilling, marking/engraving, welding of dissimilar metals a plus.
  • Proficient in welding safety, weld filler selection, weld processing parameters, fixturing.
  • Familiarity and experience with metallurgy, weld joint analysis, backing gas applications.
  • Strong cognitive and clear communication skills which emphasize attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem-solving ability.
  • Be able to work independently and unsupervised while prioritizing tasks.
