Job Summary
Plan work order procedures, gather tools and materials, and repair or fabricate metal structures using cutting, burning, and welding techniques. Monitor the welding process to prevent overheating or warping, prepare and tack weld parts, and perform grinding and finishing to meet specifications. Maintain and clean equipment, notify the Team Leader of faulty materials, and execute quality control and documentation. Work Mon-Thu 4pm-2:30am in a collaborative environment focused on safety and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- three to six months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6months+ of hands on experience in welding and fabrication applications
- Proficient in welding safety
- weld filler selection
- weld processing parameters
- fixturing
- Familiarity and experience with metallurgy
- weld joint analysis
- backing gas applications
- Strong cognitive and clear communication skills
- attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- ability to lead projects to completion with minimal oversight
- significant problem-solving ability
- Be able to work independently and unsupervised

- Regular lifting up to 25 lbs
