Job Summary
Performs a variety of basic welding in all positions to ensure components are welded to engineered specifications. Sets welding machine voltage and wire speed for proper fusion of metals following standard work methods and detailed drawings. Welds assemblies to engineering specifications. Performs basic maintenance of welding equipment to ensure proper working order. Inspects weldments for defects such as weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp edges. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires basic reading, writing and math skills; fluent in English. High School diploma required.
