Job Summary
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld metal components and assemblies from stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions; prepare parts by cleaning, cutting, and fitting materials. Select appropriate settings, filler materials, and techniques based on job requirements. Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and conformance to specifications using measuring tools. Identify defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments while maintaining equipment and reporting concerns. Complete production and quality documentation accurately and follow safety procedures to maintain a clean work area. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of welding procedures, materials, filler metals, and equipment settings
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to produce clean, consistent, and high-quality welds
- Must be dependable and able to meet production schedules
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to use welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments safely
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Aerospace, defense, hydraulic, or precision manufacturing experience
