Job Summary
Weld metal parts using gas welding, brazing, or arc welding processes in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Operate various welding robots and conduct quality checks throughout the shift. Clean, repair, and examine welds as needed while following all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations. This role requires working Monday-Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. with overtime on Fridays, and involves lifting heavy parts. The position is based at the Ellsworth, KS facility within Great Plains Manufacturing's new Construction Equipment Division.
Required Qualifications
- Weld metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing or any combination of arc welding processes utilizing a variety of welding equipment
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
- Operation of various welding robots
- Clean, repair and examine welds as needed
- Conduct quality checks throughout the shift
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
- Ability to lift heavy parts throughout the shift
- Willingness to work overtime
- Must be available Monday-Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
- Must be available for overtime on Fridays
