Job Summary
Fabricate, weld, and assemble metal structures using MIG and TIG welding techniques; interpret dimensional drawings to plan fabrication layouts; weld components to specification, inspect welds for quality and fit, and prepare parts for painting. Maintain equipment, uphold strict safety practices, meet deadlines, and work in an open environment. Requires ability to pass a welding test, physical stamina, and strong communication and mathematical skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of fabrication and/or print reading experience
- Welding certification
- Prior experience using Flux, Mig arc, Cutting torches, and welding machinery
- Must be able to pass a welding test
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods
