Job Summary
As a Welder, perform TIG welding of aerospace castings and details, using fixtures, tools, and gauges to meet blueprint tolerances, following detailed work instructions and welding procedures per GE, Nadcap, and AWS specifications; work in a team environment, contribute to LEAN manufacturing, participate in safety practices, and complete qualification testing on nickel and cobalt alloys while maintaining high attendance and positive work habits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years Gas Tungsten Arc (Heliarc) welding experience
- Pass Gas Tungsten Arc Weld test on nickel base, cobalt base and stainless steel alloys (groove and fillet welding per MIL-W-1595)
- Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency
- Must be able to complete qualification training on nickel and cobalt per AWS D17.1
- Employee must have no disqualifications on his/her record for the past six months
- 2nd shift and 3rd shift availability with specified schedules and shift premiums
