Job Summary
Welds and fits metal components per engineering drawings using MIG, TIG, or stick welding processes; reads and interprets blueprints and welding symbols, lays out and secures parts, selects appropriate welding methods, and produces welds in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Ensures parts are available, verifies conformity with specifications using measuring tools, and follows prints to position and tack components. Maintains equipment, inspects work for defects, collaborates with team to meet on-time delivery, and adheres to safety and process standards; performs deburring/grinding as needed and communicates any discrepancies to supervision.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years welding experience
- Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and welding prints
- Must pass internal welding test
