Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Structural Fitter/Welder with a minimum of four years of shipfitting experience. The role requires a strong skill set in welding processes and the interpretation of structural assembly drawings. This contract position offers a pay rate of $45 per hour, plus per diem.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of commercial or naval experience as a Shipfitter
- Extensive skills in single pass tack welding and multi-pass tack welding
- Ability to read and interpret complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in shipbuilding or steel fabrication
- Ability to operate burning and heating equipment
- Proficient in using vibratory tools including grinders and needle guns
