Job Summary
Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks using grinders, torches, and saws to construct and assemble metal components per project specifications. Read blueprints and technical drawings to execute operations in the 3G vertical position while conducting quality control checks on welds for structural integrity. Inspect and maintain welding equipment, adhere to OSHA safety protocols and PPE requirements, and collaborate with team members to meet deadlines. Requires AWS D1.1 certification, 2+ years of experience, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Competitive pay, bonus plan, and 401(k) match available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid AWS D1.1 certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in the 3G (Vertical) welding position
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication
- Strong ability to interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
- Knowledge of various metals, including steel
- Familiarity with cutting tools, fabrication machinery, and measuring devices
- Excellent attention to detail
- Commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- Valid AWS D1.1 certification and demonstrated proficiency in the 3G (Vertical) welding position
Desired Qualifications
