Job Summary
Weld components proficiently using GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, or SAW processes in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Adhere to safety rules while organizing the work area to ensure clean, efficient operations. Review blueprints and specifications to determine equipment and material requirements, then inspect parts for defects and notify supervisors of faults. Apply welding knowledge for various steel alloys, including stainless and carbon, while lifting up to 50 pounds as needed. This role supports Senior Flexonics Pathway's manufacturing of metal expansion joints and damper products for aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work well with external and internal customers
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Use basic hand held measuring tools
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to operate machines and visually inspect parts produced
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have good organizational and communication skills and ability to work well with external and internal customers
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school graduate
- Related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to operate machines and visually inspect parts produced
