Job Summary

Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and marine-grade materials to fabricate, repair, and modify structures including railings, fuel tanks, and exhaust systems. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to measure, cut, shape, and assemble components using plasma cutters, grinders, and hydraulic equipment. Install fabricated parts aboard pleasure yachts and commercial vessels while conducting inspections to ensure weld quality meets industry standards and safety regulations. Complete work documentation, time records, and material usage reports accurately. Requires Red Seal or CWB certification, 3–5 years of marine sector experience, and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions with occasional overtime and call-outs. ISO 9001-accredited facility specializing in yacht sales, mechanical repairs, and vessel refits.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of welding and fabrication experience within the marine/shipyard sector
  • Experience with yacht refits and commercial vessel maintenance
  • High proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processes
  • Extensive experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel
  • Strong understanding of welding symbols, measurements, and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to handle overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs
