Required Qualifications

• •High school diploma or equivalent
• •Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• •Must be able to stand for at least three hours
• •Must be able to sit for at least three hours
• •Must have full range of body movement: head, neck, shoulders; lift arms overhead; work overhead; reach, lift, push/pull, walk, climb, kneel, bend; good dexterity and range of movement in fingers, hands and wrists
• •Must be able to see and assess drawings, photos, and written instructions
• •Must be able to audibly hear verbal instructions and mechanical signals (forklifts, cranes, machine alarms, etc.)
• •Must be able to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively
• •Must maintain confidence and balance while working on ladders up to 12 feet tall
• •Must be able to provide an assortment of tools in a rollaway toolbox
• •Must be able to provide steel-toed boots
• •Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
• •Must possess a positive attitude towards all employees and create positive working relationships
• •Must demonstrate proper use of all safety equipment through everyday use and practice
• •Must be able to perform material handling duties (part identification and handling, basic rigging)
• •Must be able to operate hand, power, and measuring tools related to welding and fabrication
• •Must be able to independently build mainframe and large assemblies with proficiency in the layout, fabrication, buffing and welding of multiple Alliance machines
• •Must be able to use measuring instruments to level and align components, detect and mitigate runout, work to close tolerances with a demand for square, concentricity, and parallelism
• •Must be able to complete the necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements
• •Must be able to apply and understand the ECR process (submitting changes for engineering approval)
• •Must be able to display basic rigging skills utilizing machine weights, pick points
• •Must be able to actively participate on lean project teams supporting Alliance's continuous improvement process
• •Must be able to train lower level associates on metals, measuring tools, and steel fabrication equipment
• •Must be able to inspect incoming materials to blueprint specifications for use in fabricating parts
• •Must be able to refer to blueprints or diagrams in laying out guidelines on the surface of required materials to meet specifications
• •Must be able to utilize rules, scale squares, scribes and other tools to ensure close tolerances
• •Must be able to maintain welding and fabrication equipment in safe operating order, performing basic repairs on minor machine malfunctions and communicate to supervision machine issues or malfunctions
• •Must be able to generate rough sketches for suggestions involving redesigned parts or assemblies for engineering use
• •Must be able to apply proper materials/inventory procedures; requests parts, returns incorrect parts, and handles floor stock issues
