Job Summary
Welder/Fabricator Field Foreman leading field welding and fabrication for a structural steel and miscellaneous metals company. Requires 5+ years in miscellaneous metals, 2+ years in a field leadership role, proficiency in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding, ability to weld flat, vertical, and overhead, read and fabricate from shop drawings/blueprints, and willingness to travel locally within 2 hours of York, PA with some overnight travel. Must pass MIG/Stick weld tests and fabrication test, have a valid driver’s license, and undergo drug screening and background check. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the miscellaneous metals field is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a field leadership role
- Knowledge and Proficiency in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding
- Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Knowledge of tools and equipment that will be used on the job; including but not limited to saws, plasma tables, ironworker, hand tools, and power tools
- Willingness to travel locally within 2 hours of the shop in York, PA; ability to commute to the shop daily
- Ability to read and fabricate from shop drawings and/or blueprints
- Ability to weld test (MIG and Stick) and fabrication test
- Valid driver's license
- This position requires 75% or more travel; most local within two hours of York, PA and some occasional overnight travel if needed
- This position requires a successful drug screening and background check before starting
