Job Summary
Work under a Shop Supervisor to interpret blueprints, inspect materials, and weld using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW processes in various positions. Operate overhead bridge cranes, apply rigging techniques, and grind metal while ensuring weldments meet AWS D1.1 and AWWA D100 standards. Perform final inspections on completed welds and follow all safety procedures to maintain positive work habits. This full-time role at Phoenix Fabricators and Erectors requires at least two years of welding experience and involves producing X-ray quality welds for elevated water storage tanks and storage containers across the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of welding experience
- Ability to weld using FCAW and GMAW processes
- Capable of passing weld tests in horizontal and vertical positions per ASME Section IX
- Ability to produce X-ray quality welds in production
- Working knowledge of all aspects of the welding industry
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work 40+ hours per week
- Demonstrated safe and positive work habits
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of stainless steel or aluminum welding experience
