Job Summary
Fabricate, fit-up, and weld pressure vessels, structural steel assemblies, gates, and cattle guards per engineering drawings and specifications. Prepare joints by grinding, gouging, and cleaning to ensure sound quality, then weld piping and structural members in multiple positions. Perform fit-up and assembly using squares, levels, and fixtures to maintain dimensional accuracy while supporting hydrostatic and pneumatic testing. Conduct visual weld inspections and dimensional checks prior to QC, maintain qualification records, and keep work areas clean and safe. Comply with all safety policies, codes, and regulations to protect employee health. Arrive before scheduled shifts, prepared for physically demanding tasks including lifting 75 lbs, and work in a fast-paced indoor manufacturing environment with occasional outdoor rework.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a weld test
- Must be able to read measurements and perform basic math for measurements and tolerances
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend and perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to develop and maintain strong work relations with team
- Must have effective communication skills
- Must be able to build trust and promote a positive safety culture
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs and hand physical demanding work
- Must be adaptable to changing field conditions and operational demands
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening, participate in the random testing pool and remain drug & alcohol free throughout employment
- Must pass a motor vehicle record check and background check
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
