Job Summary
Welder/Fabricator in Albany, NY responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to fabricate lifting devices from small to large assemblies. Will lay out dimensions, set up and operate machines (drill presses, torches, burn table, iron worker, automated saw, etc.), grind and prep parts, perform MIG welding, and ensure finished products meet visual and NTD inspections and customer expectations. Maintain quality procedures, inspect assemblies for conformance, plan workload, and work both independently and as part of a team in a shop environment. Requires 2+ years welding/fabricating experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, pass an in-house weld test, and proficient reading of tapes and blueprints. Safety-conscious with the ability to adapt to physically demanding tasks; benefits and weekly pay offered. Location: Albany, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Welding/Fabricating experience required (at least 2 years)
- Must possess the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate welding ability and pass in house weld test.
- Reading & writing skills- including ability to read a tape measure, blueprints, drawings, and more.
