Job Summary

Read engineering blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to build structural frameworks, sheet-metal components, and equipment enclosures. Measure, mark, cut, trim, and shape steel, aluminum, and sheet metal using saws, shears, brakes, presses, grinders, and CNC equipment. Fit and assemble fabricated components with mechanical fasteners and MIG welding while inspecting work with measuring tools. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on fabrication equipment in a manufacturing shop with moving machinery. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM, with approximately 40 hours per week and potential overtime. Pay is $22–$24 per hour.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods
  • Ability to lift materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and accurately measure materials
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery
  • Ability to troubleshoot fitment and alignment issues
  • Previous fabrication or sheet-metal experience strongly preferred
  • Basic MIG welding and fitting experience
  • Jeans and long sleeves are required or expected
  • Required PPE and all established safety procedures must be followed

Desired Qualifications

  • Welding certification or trade-school training preferred but not required
  • Electrical experience is not required
