Job Summary
Clamp, tack-weld, grind, and position metal components to fabricate aluminum boats for military and first responder use. Monitor welding processes to prevent material warping, operate semi-automatic equipment using GMAW and plasma arc methods, and resolve quality issues with minimal supervision. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to standard procedures, reporting major issues to leadership, and effectively communicating with supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production objectives.

- Intermediate skills in welding, fabrication & fitting
- Understanding of standard build practices in comparable manufacturing environments
- Ability to effectively demonstrate shop skills/tasks

- Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to a minimum of two years of experience in area of expertise
- Aluminum experience required
- Requires a intermediate understanding of the usage of production machinery, common hand tools, handheld power tools and fabricating equipment
- Able to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols
- Must be able to pass a skill test relevant to the position
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Able to move 40 lbs
- Ability to get underway with high-speed watercraft in variable weather conditions
- Able to work in areas at times that are not environmentally controlled
Desired Qualifications
- GMAW (MIG) preferred
