Job Summary
Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as assigned while preparing work areas for equipment installation. Operate trained and certified equipment, including powder-activated tools and lifts, and use all types of ladders up to 14 feet. Maintain a clean work environment, secure and lock up equipment after use, and advise the supervisor of any safety or job-related problems. Perform duties in all weather elements while wearing required personal protective equipment. Work 8 to 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required. This role involves physical demands including lifting over 50 pounds and repetitive arm use, with a primary focus on physical work exceeding 70%.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required
- Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts
- Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required
- Must be able to operate equipment only if trained and certified to operate
- Must be able to carry and relocate up to 12' step ladder by oneself
- Must be able to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow
- Must wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required
