Job Summary
Welder role performing welding on steel components with procedures, layouts, blueprints, or oral instructions; works in varying positions from tack to complex welds. Uses related equipment (forklifts, hoists, grinders, cutting torches, tape measures, Air Arc) and reads blueprints/diagrams to meet job orders, while adhering to Pratt standards and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Requires the ability to understand welding symbols and to work independently or in a team; must have dependable attendance and capable of performing additional duties as qualified. Education/experience desired includes welding certification(s) and trailer/heavy equipment manufacturing background; high school diploma or GED is required; welding test must be passed.
