Welder - Evening Shift

Job Summary
Weld metal components, fabricate, and repair heavy mechanical products per specifications while adhering to safety rules and production schedules. Accurately inspect metal prior to welding to ensure clean welds, perform grinding operations, and maintain welding machines by changing liners. Execute gang-welding techniques in vertical, flat, and overhead positions using MiG and stick methods, and operate cranes and forklifts safely. Read and understand assigned blueprints and weld symbols, work with fitters on equipment assembly, and keep work areas clean. Clock in on assigned jobs and ensure machine settings are appropriate for all tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-1 Year of Welding experience
- Heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge and ability to perform all Grinder tasks required
- Ability to properly and safely MiG weld, stick weld, and arc gouging required
- Ability to read and understand weld symbols required
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred
- Computer experience desired, particularly the ability to use a mouse and locate and open/close programs/files
