Job Summary
Support Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations Divisions on both coasts by executing fabrication, welding, and boat operations with minimal supervision. Manage maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems, including launching and recovering small vessels, while performing duties across engine rebuild, metal, and electrical shops. Travel 40-50% of the year, staying aboard vessels for up to six weeks at a time, and maintain a US DoD Interim Secret Security clearance. Work varying hours, including night shifts and pre-dawn departures, requiring physical capability to transfer between vessels at sea.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must have experience in fabrication and welding
- Applicant must be able to perform said duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel 40-50% of the year, from one to six weeks at a time
- Ability to obtain a passport
- Possess valid state driver's license
- Physically capable of transferring between vessels at sea
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Minimum general mechanical and boat operations experience as follows: Tech I – 2 Years
- Minimum general mechanical and boat operations experience as follows: Tech II – 3 Years
- Minimum general mechanical and boat operations experience as follows: Tech III – 4-6 Years
- Minimum general mechanical and boat operations experience as follows: Tech IV – 6-8 Years
- Minimum general mechanical and boat operations experience as follows: Tech V – 8-10 Years
- General knowledge of boat operations, mechanical and electrical operating system
- Experience with driving pickup trucks with trailers on the road and in enclosed or limited spaces
- U S Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a US DoD Interim Secret Security clearance
- Ability to maintain clearance throughout employment
- All candidates will be required to pass a Drug Screening
