Job Summary

Repair and rebuild structurally failed or worn parts requiring welding process reconstruction, fabricating metal parts and operating welding equipment while interpreting sketches and diagrams. Accept out-of-town assignments requiring overnight stays and travel to remote locations as needed. Prepare service reports, plan and control repair job costs, and provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers. Maintain company equipment, own personal tools, and adhere to all safety policies and company procedures. Work in adverse weather and shop conditions, including extreme cold, heat, and wet environments, while lifting up to 50 pounds. Operate a forklift if certified and wear required respirators. Work overtime as assigned and maintain current MSHA card where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Current driver's license
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience
  • Current AWS D1.1 and D14.3 certification
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a forklift with appropriate certification(s)
  • Will be required to wear respirator and be cleared for respirator use by an approved medical provider
  • Must be able to sit
  • Must be able to use hands

  • Must have basic knowledge of heat stresses in metal
  • Must know proper use of cleaners and solvents
