Job Summary
Perform welding operations to fabricate equipment for the nuclear power industry, including assembly, teardown, troubleshooting, fixturing, and repair of hydraulic actuators and valve assemblies. Execute work per detailed procedures, work orders, and engineering drawings under robust quality assurance and safety programs while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and quality control inspectors. Maintain adherence to strict quality and safety standards in a project-based manufacturing environment, multi-tasking to shift priorities as conditions warrant. Requires 3-5 years of welding experience (GTAW, GMAW) and metal fabrication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years welding experience (GTAW, GMAW)
- Metal fabrication experience including drilling, tapping, grinding, and cutting
- Experience with industrial process equipment (valves, cylinders, actuation, piping, etc.)
- Experience in a 'made to order' manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow procedures and engineering drawings
- Thorough understanding of mechanical systems
- Experience with piping and tubing assemblies
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift and overhead crane operation
