Job Summary
Read blueprints and drawings, take measurements to plan layouts, and set up welding machines according to specifications. Weld components using semi-automatic equipment in various positions, maintain equipment for safety, and test all welds to ensure quality. Hand-weld any leaks found in quality penetration die tests. Perform duties as assigned, including working Saturday shifts and extended hours up to 12 hours. Lift up to 50 lbs regularly while standing, bending, and twisting.
Required Qualifications
- 4 plus years of welding experience
- Read a tape measure
- Be dependable
- Good attendance and a positive attitude are critical for this position
- Good work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Must be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written form
- Must be able to work Saturday (will count against attendance record if missed)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and communicate with others
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-12 hour shifts
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
Desired Qualifications
- Pipe welding and welding certificates a plus
