Job Summary
Fabricate, fit, and weld structural components, equipment foundations, cable tray supports, and shipboard installations for the Electrical Department in a fast-paced shipyard. Requires operating SMAW and FCAW welding processes, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety while collaborating with the team to install and modify electrical equipment foundations and cable routing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with SMAW welding processes
- Experience with FCAW welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to read blueprints/technical documentation
- Knowledge of shipyard fabrication and installation practices
- Understanding of welding symbols and fabrication standards
- Ability to safely operate welding equipment and hand/power tools
- Commitment to quality workmanship and safety
