Job Summary
Fabricate metal components and assemble structural forms using TIG and MIG welds on steel, stainless, and aluminum materials ranging from gauge 18 to 12. Grind off excess weld, slag, or splatter with portable grinders while reading job order specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure compliance with procedures. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all rules and regulations, and complete preventive maintenance requirements to keep equipment operational. Adjust welding machines for different materials and thicknesses, ensuring strong time management and dependability throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) year technical degree preferred
- minimum 1-2 years welding related experience and/or training
- equivalent experience may replace all or part of formal education
- Requires basic welding aptitude
- Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, simple drawings
- Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, to express needs and ask questions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Knowledge of and familiarity in Microsoft office products and manufacturing software
- M-TH 5am-3:30pm OR 3:30pm-2am
