Job Summary
Fit and weld components in accordance with weld procedures, accounting for weld shrinkage with minimal supervision. Read and understand shop drawings, tolerances, and welding procedures while producing quality fabricated parts for the Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear, and Energy industries. All fit-ups and welds are inspected by in-house and/or customer CWIs, with on-site training available for skill growth. Candidates must be certified in aluminum and stainless steel TIG processes, with ASME pressure vessel experience preferred. Work four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30 pm, with overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- ability to read and understand shop drawings
- ability to fit and weld components in accordance with weld procedures accounting for weld shrinkage with minimal supervision
- ability to read and understand drawings, tolerances, and welding procedures
- eligibility to access export-controlled information under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- qualification as a U.S. person under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or certain individuals granted refugee/asylum status)
- ability to stand
- ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- ability to reach with hands and arms
- ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- close vision
- depth perception
- ability to work four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30 pm
- ability to work overtime as required
Desired Qualifications
- ASME pressure vessel / tank manufacturing experience
- familiarity with nozzle schedules
- familiarity with weld maps
- flux core experience
- submerged arc experience
- certified positions for welding processes
